This elegant Universal Genève from the 1950s is a superb example of the brand’s refined mid-century design. Housed in a gold-plated case measuring 34.5 mm (excluding the original crown), it wears with perfect balance thanks to its slim 9.8 mm profile and 39.8 mm lug-to-lug span.
The dial is a beautifully preserved two-tone sector style, featuring a matte central field and a subtle circular brushed outer ring. Applied golden numerals alternate with sharply faceted triangular indices, all perfectly matched to the golden dauphine hands and long sweep seconds hand. The minimalist layout and original typography echo Universal Genève’s signature style—precise, clean, and unmistakably elegant.
Inside beats the manually wound Calibre 322, a reliable in-house movement of the era, known for its durability and fine finishing.
