The Recta Watch Company was originally founded by Antoine Muller and Alcide Vaucher in Bien, Switzerland in 1897. At that time it was called the Muller & Vaucher Fabrique d'Horlogerie. In 1898 the name Recta was registered and they built their own factory in Bien in 1902.
