This 1939 Omega pocket watch stands out with both its historical significance and timeless design. Housed in a robust 50mm stainless steel case, it was designed to be waterproof, a rare feature for pocket watches of its era.
The two-tone dial is a classic example of 1930s design language. A cream central portion is framed by a warm sector-style ring, offering excellent legibility and a subtle Art Deco charm. The black Arabic numerals are complemented by a full 24-hour inner scale, an uncommon but practical feature.
Inside ticks the legendary Omega Caliber 38.5L.T1, a hand-wound movement known for its reliability and durability. This movement was widely used during the pre-WWII period, including in some military-issued timepieces, adding to the historical depth of the watch.
