Vintage Lemania Monopusher Chronograph, Rare Steel Cushion Case, Cal. 13CH, Enamel Dial from 1930's

This pre-war Lemania monopusher is among the rarest expressions of Swiss horology from the late 1930s. What makes this example genuinely exceptional is the case: Acier Staybrite stainless steel, a material so uncommon on these early Lemania chronographs that the vast majority of surviving examples are found only in chrome-plated brass. If you have been looking for the definitive pre-war Lemania, this is it.

The white enamel dial is, in itself, a preservation story. Enamel dials were laborious to produce, fragile to handle, and increasingly uncommon even by the late 1930s - which is precisely why so few have survived intact. This one is super clean and remarkably preserved after nearly ninety years.

Inside beats the Lemania Caliber 13CH - the T1 monopusher variant of the same movement family supplied to Omega and Tissot during this period, and one of the earliest historically significant Swiss wrist chronograph movements ever made. This is the direct ancestor of the lineage that would eventually power the Omega Speedmaster. An antique Swiss made watch of this calibre and rarity does not surface often, and one in this condition even less so.
