Vintage Certina Swiss Watch, Ultra-rare two-tone dial, Gilted Numerals

Founded in 1888 in Grenchen, Switzerland, Certina has long stood for durable, reliable, and precisely engineered timepieces. Known especially for their innovations in sports watches and dive watches in the 20th century, Certina also produced refined dress pieces like this one. While often flying under the radar, the brand holds deep respect among vintage enthusiasts for its build quality and beautifully executed calibers like the KF3205.

This vintage Certina is a striking example of 1950s Swiss design, powered by the hand-wound Caliber KF3205 and housed in a compact yet bold 32.5mm case. With its 38mm lug-to-lug length, it wears elegantly on the wrist, maintaining a slim vintage profile while offering a surprising amount of wrist presence.

What truly sets this piece apart is the dial — a beautifully preserved two-tone sector layout with a deep glossy black center and a contrasting blue outer track. The color shift under light is subtle but mesmerizing.

Gilt details complete the composition: gold feuille hands, gilt printed minute track, and a combination of gilt Arabic numerals and dot hour markers. The small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock is finely recessed and retains its original concentric finishing. The result is a visually rich dial with excellent depth and texture — pure vintage artistry.
