This elegant GUB Glashütte wristwatch from the 1950s is a fine representation of early East German watchmaking. Produced during the formative years of VEB Glashütter Uhrenbetriebe (GUB)—a state-run amalgamation of prewar Glashütte brands—it merges traditional design with the utilitarian precision of the postwar era.

The watch features a beautifully preserved salmon dial, a rare and coveted color among vintage collectors. One of its most visually striking elements is the crab (or claw) lug design—a sculptural, almost architectural feature that gives the case a dynamic silhouette despite its modest vintage size.
