This rare 1940s Doxa officer's military watch is a captivating piece of wartime history, designed for the German Wehrmacht and marked with "D.H." (Deutsches Heer), signifying its official use by the ground forces. Among military-issued German watches of the era, Doxa is especially rare, as the brand predominantly produced civilian models.
The watch features a sturdy 33 mm solid steel case, built to endure the rigors of military life. Both the hands and indices are coated with radium, which was standard for military timepieces of the era to ensure visibility in low-light conditions. Over time, the radium has developed a beautiful patina, adding to the watch’s vintage character and historical authenticity.
