Produced in the midst of World War II, this 1944 Omega Ref. 3813/1 quietly tells the story of an era where precision and durability mattered more than ever. Tucked inside its modest 28 x 26 mm stainless steel case is Omega’s Caliber R 17,8—a hand-wound mechanical movement that had already proven its reliability in demanding conditions. Marked “Non Magnetic” on the dial, it was built to resist the interference of the industrial world, a forward-thinking feature for its time. The watch carries the serial number 10021317, a direct link to its origin in Omega’s wartime production run.

Decades later, the watch’s black dial has been professionally refurbished, reviving its original charm without erasing the passage of time. Roman numerals at the cardinal points and sharp indices mark the hours, while a neat sub-seconds register sits quietly at 6 o’clock.
