This Sturmanskie Type 2 is a rare and historically significant timepiece, originally released in 1957 and specifically produced for military pilots and cosmonauts of the era. It bears the distinction of being the model worn by Yuri Gagarin, the first human to journey into outer space, during his pioneering spaceflight in 1961. As such, it represents a monumental piece of space exploration heritage, being the first wristwatch to have ever breached the Earth's atmosphere and entered space.
