Vintage Watch "Raketa Wind Rose Azimuth", Rare Soviet Watch
Raketa is watch brand, the watches were produced by Petrodvorets watch factory, which was the oldest factory in USSR. The company was among the 13 largest watch factories of the Soviet Union. Raketa watches were exported to more than 30 countries.
This model is variously known as the Raketa Azimuth, sometimes the Raketa Wind Rose and I have also seen it called the Polaris, Polar Star and Antarctic Star. This watch features 2 crowns, one to wind the watch and one to move the internal bezel which has compass markings. This means that is can be used as a “solar compass”.
