Antarctic Watch Description
Raketa is watch brand, the watches were produced by Petrodvorets watch factory, which was the oldest factory in USSR. The company was among the 13 largest watch factories of the Soviet Union. Raketa watches were exported to more than 30 countries.
The "Raketa 24 hour" watch is definitely a unique timepiece. Unlike other watches, the hour hand of this Raketa registers 24 hours instead of 12 hours each time the hour hand sweeps 360 degree around the face. On the Raketa 24H watches, the hour's hand makes only one complete rotation during 24H instead of two, so it's impossible to confuse AM and PM time (a necessity for submarine crew, polar explorers, miners and in space wherever it's impossible to see if it's day or night).
